The
brakes on a car allow the vehicle to slow down and eventually come to a full stop.
Braking is possible thanks to the
brake pads, which are located into the calipers and which are pressed onto the
brake discs.
Disc brakes are generally located at the front.
At the rear however, most cars have drum brakes.
Drum brakes work with brake lining which is fitted into the
brake drum. The wheel brake cylinder is the car parts which allows the brake fluid to press the
brake shoes against the drums.
