What are the filters for?

Your filters are an essential part of your car’s upkeep. They need changing rather regularly to avoid a brake down. Car filters are there to clean the air, oil and fuel of all sorts of particulates and dirt before the air/fuel mixture is injected into the engine.

Every car is therefore equipped with an oil filter, an air filter, a fuel filter and a pollen filter. The latter does not clean the air being injected into the engine but the air being injected into the cabin.
