LOCKS AND CLOSURES

Every car is equipped with a closure system so that the vehicle can be locked when it is not used. Cars are increasingly equipped with remote keyless entry however. Older vehicles tend to have a manually operated locking system. Locks are found on the front doors and on the tailgate.

Inside, another car lock is located in the steering column: the ignition switch.
