The combination switch is located directly behind the steering wheel. It is the car part that enables you to control the windscreen wipers, lights and indicators.
A combination switch is only replaced if it breaks down. However, if you notice small irregularities when you use the switches, it is relatively easy to disassemble this part and clean the electric contacts inside before replacing the entire unit. If there is no improvement though, the combination switch might need to be changed.
