What is the radiator fan?
Together with the radiator, a car fan contributes to the cooling of the engine of a vehicle.
The fan is fixed in front of the radiator. The radiator fan does not work permanently but only when the temperature switch, connected to the radiator indicates a rise in temperature above a certain set level. The fan then starts blowing air across the radiator thereby complementing the waterbased-cooling of the radiator. The fan blades are mostly activated by an electric engine.
