What are
suspension struts Suspension struts, suspension mounts or
macpherson struts are the suspension parts with which the
shock absorber is attached to the car’s framework. In most cases, suspension struts are round and look a lot like
suspension arm bushes.
Suspension struts are most common on the front axle of a vehicle and are used as dampers. The top of the shock absorber is fixed in the middle of the
suspension mount which in turn is attached near the wheel to the car’s body. Suspension struts can also be found at the rear of a vehicle, however that is not not very common, especially not on small cars.
